The SFCC Presidio Recycling Center San Francisco, California

The new SFCC Presidio Recycling Center is an adaptive reuse of a WWII era military warehouse into a modern recycling facility. Located in the historic San Francisco Presidio, K2A’s design brings the building up to current structural, fire life safety, and accessibility standards, while maintaining its historic character. Environmental stewardship is the focus of SFCC’s program, and the design decisions made were critical to maintain that integrity throughout the building rehabilitation.
